The patterns on these petals are so inspiring.

I think the London dirt has made this leaf look appropriately gothic for Halloween due to it’s black veins and dark edges. I’d be interested in recreating this using the relief of the veins with a black wax crayon and water colour for the leaf.

Today I went back to the exact place where I first had the idea to do this blog. It was a pavement in Hackney where you can always find leaf prints. I was so inspired by the leaves today that I created a little composition.
