I went to a wetland centre which had Cattail reeds which were taller than me.

I went to Morden Hall park with my friend Rachel and her son Jacob who is 18 months old. There was a beautiful rose garden in the park and this was one roses in a bed of roses.

At the end of the school year I was given a Sunflower plant from The mother of Oscar a little boy that I look after at school. She gave it to me as she thought their bright and bold characteristics always make her think of Oscar. She thought as I wouldn't spend so much time with him over the holidays then a sunflower would be on offering of a little part of the joy he gives.

This is called Ajuga Reptans 'Burgundy Glow'. Today is the first time I've seen this plant flower. It hasn't disappointed.

Outside my Pilates centre is a gorgeously well designed and managed garden. The lavender in the garden looks great with some this grass behind it. Very natural looking planting.

Nasturtiums are one of my favourite summer flowers. They are easy to grow, they attract butterflies and their leaves taste delicious in salads.

I know, I know, I know. Ferns appear quite a lot on this blog but this one really impressed me. It sprung up a few years ago in between the two ponds in my garden. It's one of natures beauty. You can design a garden but you have to work with nature too.
