This Lilly is Hollands Beauty. I bought three bulbs and have had an abundance of gorgeous flowers, from the plants that grew from them. Every year these bright flowers make me smile.

One of our neighbours has a pretty flower pot display in there front garden. Here are some flowers from one of the pots.

This flower's texture made me think of heat pressed polyesters like Issey Miyake as well as the use of tie dye to get the blue and white contrast. This could be achieved with tie dye experiments, digital print design and a heat press.

Poppies make great inspiration for a printed fabric. I've seen some fantastic repeats in womenswear and childrenswear too.

Lots of sunshine and some plant food has made my pansies very happy.

The bright sunlight made it possible for me to get this shot with my phone. I'm really pleased with the focus on the foreground and blurred background too. The blue sky really sets off the whole photo- making it bright and cheery.

Love In The Mist. This was my Grandma's favourite flower. It really suits it's name and my Grandmar too. The word love really epitomised her. She projected love and happiness wherever she went.

The circles of each petal from this flower make me think of geometry patters that originated from nature. I shall have to look out for a sunflower to photograph the pattern the seeds make.
