I defy anyone to go into a cacti house like this one and not come out feeling great. It's an entirely different world full of curiosities. I'd say the underwater world is perhaps the only other botanical insanity quite so wonderful.

I love this composition. I removed all the stray leaves within this succulent and experimented a little to achieve this image. Time well spent i'd say.

I had no idea what this pink funky thang was but discovered it is an Aechmea Fasciata. Pretty impressive!

The patterns on the bark of a tree are often incredible and worth looking out for. This one I found on a tree at the Barbican Conservatory.

The first daffodil of the year is an extremely exciting time. This day was cold and wet. Winter had been taking it's toll. We were all aching for some sunshine. I welcomed this sign of spring with opened arms.

The swirling flow of this petal structure and the inky bleed of the maroon dispersing into the canary yellow, makes me think of a fancy goldfish with their flowing tail and fins.
